This is Bustlebout City Hall.  I went  there with my class from Bustlebout Grammar School, and the mayor gave us an award for cleaning up the schoolyard. When we went back to school, Miz Loggins hung the award plaque in our classroom.  Then we all had vanilla wafers and  Kool-Aid.  That was good.

The Bustlebout Train Station and one of the trains that goes through Bustlebout are in the snapshots below.  Jay Mikey and I rode the train with Mama to go to see Daddy when he was in the hospital in New Orleans.  We crossed Lake Pontchartrain on a long, long bridge that I thought would never end.

The fictional town of Bustlebout is based loosely on the real town of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  Some of the photos are from 1950's Bogalusa.

Above: The Pine Tree Inn is probably the biggest building in Bustlebout, except for the box factory.  Mama and my brother Jay Mikey went to a supper at the Pine Tree Inn  when the Rotary honored the best students at Bustlebout Junior High.  Jay Mikey the best?!   I don't think so.

Below: The Great Southern Lumber Company Office Building is another of Bustlebout's big buildings. Other businesses have offices in there now.  Sometimes I go there with Mama to pay the gas bill. Down here people heat their houses and cook with natural gas.  We have lots of it right here under the ground.

I've got lots more stuff about Bustlebout to show you - as soon as I find where my awful brother Jay Mikey hid it.  I'm so busy rakin' yards that I don't have much time to look for it right now, but I'll get to it before long.
